Suitable for the manufacture of micropipettes/microelectrodes which require a single or double pull cycle. With a single pull, pipette tips of less than 0.1 micron may be obtained while the two-stage pull mode allows the manufacture of pipettes suitable for patch clamp. The length of the first pull is controlled by a stop which is withdrawn automatically for the second pull.The starting buttons of the single and double pull modes require one press.Heater voltage values are digitally displayed, assuring excellent reproductivity, and risidual heat is used for steady reproduction of the pipette.Two kinds of weight (light and heavy, for each) are provided to enable adjustment of the pulling force.
A horizontal puller for the fabrication of micropipettes and microelectrodes. This puller uses a solenoid for the application of the pulling force and this allows full control over pull strength. A temperature monitoring system and stabilised power supply ensure reproducible pipette/electrode production.Thi puller produces parallel pipettes with tips of less than 1 micron.Settings for the heater and both magnets are easily performed by reading the levels shown ofd the digital display and adjusting the dial accordingly.
